The dry season SE winds that blow offshore at Uluwatu aren’t really expected to take hold until around May/June.
That makes April a bit of a gamble when it comes to surfing this part of Bali. But if the winds are light enough, or the trade winds move in early, there’s usually a bit of swell around for some fun waves at Uluwatu.
To give you an idea of what can happen on a good year, here’s a clip of Uluwatu filmed in April 2021 over eight sessions.
