With a big high tide and solid swell, the current was flowing fast at the entry/exit point at Uluwatu.
That’s great when paddling out to the lineup, but at the end of a session with tired arms it can be a real struggle to overcome the river like flow if you get the timing wrong.
It was another great day at Bali’s ever reliable left, with some great waves at the Peak. By late afternoon the tide had dropped and the Racetrack section of reef was starting to work with a few sketchy tubes for those willing to take on the draining water level.
