Nathan Florence, you possess a remarkable ability to navigate through the most challenging circumstances, my friend. This breakdown was truly impressive.

“Nathan mahalo for sharing these important duck diving tips. I’m no way a big wave surfer just 4 maybe 5 feet Hawaiian is my max and even at that size I get completely worked. Seeing you make these split fractional micro second decisions in those size waves, in gnarly conditions with multiple elements thrown at you, was intense. Respect.”

“Your experience and details hit home when put into practice. I’m not in “big” waves but frequently some “long swim breaks” and I’ve broken a few leashes and had to do the 200/300m swim. Current is the worst. These duck dive vids have really helped me improve, committing, sometimes white knuckled. But way less swimming and those extra split seconds on a big set are priceless. I also never knew you could get so thrashed and still have a successful duck dive. All the videos we see are these clean, smooth circular dives, but in reality that ain’t happening on a set and if you avoid eating or losing your board and lose less time, it seems like a success. Thanks Nate”
