Batu Bolong is one of the few places where there are just as many – if not more – female surfers than their male counterparts. It was certainly the case for this session a couple of days ago, with the ladies turning out in numbers for a morning surf.
The wet season westerly onshore didn’t get going until late in the morning, so it was a clean little swell running for the first few hours of the day. An incoming tide helped things along, with a few shoulder-high sets every now and then.
I love all the dogs. This place looks like a dream!
