The start of February had light and variable winds, and with small to medium swells it was good on Bali’s west coast at spots like Canggu.
That all came to a screeching halt when a tropical cyclone developed between Bali and Western Australia, buffeting the island with gale force wind and heavy rain. This forced any chance of a wave to Bali’s east facing breaks on the Bukit and Keramas.
After all that stormy weather things settled down with a few medium sized swells and light winds. Even Uluwatu had a moment or two of clean conditions, signaling a transition of the seasons.
