It was sunny days for more than half of December. The wind was light and variable with some quality sessions at Uluwatu – It was all very non-wet season like.
That all abruptly changed for the backend of the month with lots of rain and a westerly wind that blew firm and consistently. West facing breaks like Uluwatu and Canggu were an onshore mess every day, leaving Bali’s east coast and some swell magnets on the Bukit to pick up the slack.
The westerlies backed down for the last day of 2022, but with more strong wind in the long range forecast it looks like January will be a soggy month with surfers relying on Bali’s east facing breaks once again.
