Time & Place – What’s Keramas Like In January?




January is usually right in the middle of the wet season with small swells and offshore winds for east coast breaks like Keramas.

Well, it doesn’t always work out like that. As you can see from the footage of this edit, there was a bit of rain but the wind was often less than ideal. Sure there were some clean mornings, but there were plenty of sessions with a pesky south wind adding some lump and bump to the lineup.

Here’s a bunch of waves filmed in January 2023 to give you an idea of what to expect for the first month of the year at Keramas.
