The World’s Easiest Take-Off? – Batu Bolong, 15 March 2021




Batu Bolong was in a particularly gentle mood on the 15th of March. The take-offs were so mellow, I think you’d be hard pressed to find and easier entry to a wave, anywhere.

That’s not to say surfing here is without its challenges. Negotiating the crowd – which was already quite thick by mid-morning – is a constant danger. But since party waves are generally expected and accepted, there were still plenty of smiles out in the water.
