At waist to shoulder high, Echo Beach is one of the more user friendly waves in Canggu. A soft, slow paced left, jam packed with intermediate surfers.
But at around head high or bigger, on the lower end of the tide, slopey walls are replaced by a dredging take-off and fast paced barrel.
The Bukit is first area that comes to mind when thinking about barreling lefts in Bali, but Echo is no slouch when all the elements align. Here’s a few of the better tubes from our archive over the last couple of years.
