Deep Into Bali Surf Life – Johnny Uluwatu | Beached #6

With a nickname like ‘Johnny Uluwatu’ it’s no big surprise that this Aussie expat has grown some solid roots here in Bali.

From owning and running a foundry business – making objects out of molten metal – in Australia, to WSL commentary and acting work here in Indonesia, Johnny has more than a few of feathers in his hat.

He’s a popular figure in the local surf community and always ready to lend a hand with a ‘pay it forward’ attitude. A musician that doesn’t mind hamming it up for the crowd, it’s little wonder Johnny has made so many friends here in Bali.

#SOBBeached is an interview series giving a voice to some of the surfers featured in our videos.
