Bali’s most perfectly shaped wave also happens to be the shallowest.
Bingin generally doesn’t get too hollow over head high, but at around shoulder high it can suck out with just ankle to knee high worth of water separating surfers from a sharp reef.
Being such a perfect little barrel means there’s always plenty of people willing to try their luck for a bit of tube time, but you can be sure to leave a bit of skin behind if you fall on a particularly shallow section.
