Bali Surf Journal – June 2023

In a year with an uncharateristic lack of swell, June kept the small wave ball rolling.

There was no major swell for the whole month, an extremely rare thing for peak season here in Bali.

The silver lining was light and variable winds, opening up the east coast breaks that are normally off limits due to persistent SE trade winds that you’d expect this time of the year.

Canggu was the biggest beneficiary of this small swell/light wind combo, doing most of the heavy lifting for surfers of Bali with clean morning sessions a reliable fixture for the whole month.
