Bali Surf Journal – January 2026




There weren’t any major swells in January – which isn’t out of the ordinary – and with the usual westerly wind pattern it was Bali’s east coast that provided offshore options for surfers.

The west coast had some calm mornings, but there weren’t too many of those. Lumpy, onshore Canggu was a much more common occurrence with the odd smooth morning session every now and then.
